Kathie provides individual psychological therapy to people over the age of 16 years. She treats people who wish to either pay privately or who have a Mental Health Care Plan from their doctor.

Kathie provides treatment for individuals with: 

• anxiety and anxiety related disorders, 
• depression and mood related disorders, 
• post traumatic stress disorder, 
• addiction issues, 
• adjustment difficulties, 
• sexual intimacy issues, 
• grief,
• relationship difficulties. 

If you are unsure if Kathie is able to treat your specific issue please feel free to phone the office to clarify.

If your doctor has determined that you qualify for a Mental Health Care Plan it means that you will be eligible to receive a rebate to cover part of the cost of your session. Under this plan you are eligible to claim up to 10 rebates per calendar year. The current rebate is $145.25 for a full 50 minute session. Please note that sessions are not bulk billed.

Individuals are welcome to see Kathie without a referral. In this case you will not be eligible for a rebate unless you have private health cover that includes psychology. Private health rebates vary from provider to provider. Please check with your health fund provider directly regarding your cover with them.

Kathie's fees are well below the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fees for clinical psychologist services. Please contact reception for more information.

Please note that Kathie does not bulk bill.

Please note that Kathie does not treat clients under NDIS, WorkCover, DVA, nor does she provide assessments for Centrelink. Kathie does not do reports for court if you have legal matters pending. Kathie does not provide formal psychometric assessments such as IQ testing. Kathie does not provide couples counselling.

Please note that Myself Anew is on the first floor and there is only stair access (no ramp or lift access). If you are unable to take stairs you may be able to have a telehealth session instead. Please feel free to phone reception to discuss further.
